Shocking: These Are The Effects Of Negative Thoughts And Emotions On Your Body

Humans undergo various emotions, from happiness and joy to sadness and depression. Each of these emotions creates a different environment in the body as the body releases different chemicals depending on the emotion. For instance, if the body releases serotonin, dopamine or oxytocin, you will feel happy and satisfied. On the other hand, if the body releases cortisol, you will feel stressed out and even depressed.

You are probably wondering what happens when you are overwhelmed with negative thought all the time. Or, what about feeling positive and optimistic at all times? Moreover, what if you are indifferent and don’t feel neither positive nor negative?

POSITIVE VS. NEGATIVE

Are things innately positive and negative or we are defining them as such? Well, it seems that we spend a lot of time thinking and judging what is considered positive and what is negative. The brain is a potent tool and while defining what something is, we start seeing the result. For instance, when someone driving gets cut off, he will either get angry or move on as if nothing happened. This depends on the way how a person looks on something and it applies to all things in life.

CUT THE PERCEPTIONS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE

It turns out that there aren’t positive or negative experiences and it is all about our perception and the way we define them. So, our perception has the power over the situation and the way that particular situation affects our body. Even though we can work to overcome the definitions of each experience and move on, sometimes we simply don’t have the time. Therefore, understanding how certain emotions affect our health is of utmost importance.

If someone wishes for good health, one must first ask oneself if he is ready to do away with the reasons for his illness. Only then is it possible to help him.” ~ Hippocrates

MIND BODY CONNECTION

There is a strong link between the mind and the body, even though we are not able to visually see this connection. We can either have positive mental attitude and thus create healthy lifestyle or have negative thoughts and creating an unhealthy lifestyle by failing to deal with the internal issues.

When you feel pain in certain areas, it is often linked to some emotional issue. Even though it seems strange at first glance, this is true in most cases. For instance, if you are feeling pain in the back, knees, neck or shoulders, it is very likely that dealing with your emotions will help you get a relief, contrary to the popular belief that exercise or physio will work it out.

The bottom line is that you need to learn to process emotions and illness quickly by determining the reason why they appeared in the first place. For instance, if you believe that you will get sick, the chances are that you will continue having it until you understand that you have the control over it and that everything depends on your perception.
