If Women Knew About This Plant, They Won’t Have To Go To The Gynecologist Too Often!

Lady’s mantle (lat. Alchemilla vulgaris) is also known as virak, rabbit’s foot, lion’s foot and Agile Frog. The medicinal properties of this plant, especially in relation to gynecological health, have been known since the Middle Ages. Today it is considered as a universal natural remedy for all women treating many different diseases. According to the famous Swiss herbalist Johan Kincora, 30% of all gynecological problems can be avoided just by consuming Lady’s mantle tea.

In medicinal purposes, you should collect the leaves and flowers or the entire flowering plant (the root has no medicinal properties!). The leaves can be harvested in the spring, but it is best to collect them in July/August. Leaves can also be collected after blooming, but then they lose some of their healing power.

Lady’s mantle contains flavonoids, organic acids, tannins, salicylic acid and a real treasure of vitamin C. This plant has a bitter taste, because of its high tannin content; tannins also account for the strong anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

It’s the ideal plant for pregnant women

Although a large number of its medicinal properties have not yet been explored, lady’s mantle is the best natural remedy for the treatment of infertility. It acts as an excellent natural regulator of hormones; progesterone stimulates growth and regulates the menstrual cycle, which is extremely important when attempting conception. Lady’s mantle strengthens the uterine wall and so protects against miscarriages, and helps with polycystic ovary and for removing the unwanted pounds. It’s also beneficial for women who’ve just given birth, including those who recover from a difficult birth and for those who have a “loose” stomach.

It also helps with PMS and menopause

In addition to the above mentioned benefits, lady’s mantle can help with fibroids, cysts, endometriosis, and ease menstrual and menopausal symptoms. Tannins contained effectively alleviate heavy and painful periods and regulate the bleeding.

This tea is highly beneficial for women who have painful and heavy menstruation because this herb is abundant in tannins and astringents, which normalize bleeding. When combined with the Shepherd’s Purse plant, lady’s mantle makes one of the most powerful remedies for all gynecological diseases.

It destroys bacteria and viruses

Lady’s mantle’s bath, vaginal douches and tampons can effectively treat yeast, bacterial vaginitis and other vaginal infections. Simply soak your tampons in lady’s mantle’s solution and use them as pessaries.

According to recent studies, lady’s mantle acts against staphylococcus bacteria, which can be be extremely resistant to antibiotics. Japanese scientists have further found that agrimonin, a substance found in the plant, can even prevent breast cancer. Health experts suggest that it has potent antiviral properties too. This includes the human papilloma virus (HPV).

Other health benefits

Lady’s mantle has a wide array of other uses aside from those listed above. These include bleeding, insect bites, nausea and vomiting, eczema and dermatitis, sore throat, mild diarrhea, especially in young children, gout and rheumatism, hemorrhoids, ulcers.
