Growing condition

Proper location:

The selection of the proper place is necessary to develop the banana tree. Banana trees grow in tropical and subtropical areas, so its trees require full sun and heat and moisture. For this, choose a place where the full sun comes.

Soil requires:

The well-drained and sandy soil is best for a banana tree. Use such soil, which is completely rich. To apply it in the container, use it in the potting soil with perlite, sand, and compost. To make the banana tree rich in potassium, make the soil slightly acidic. If the soil pH is 6-7, it will be better.

Watering:

Banana trees constantly prefer moisture. Due to this, the banana tree should be provided with water depth. It requires regular water in summer.

Fertilizer:

Flush the banana soil once in a month before adding any fertilizer. Make your youth use the 10-10-10 fertilizer on the plant’s variants once a month.

Re potting the banana plants

If the growing banana pot is fully bound, then it is necessary to repot it. You can change your 1-gallon banana pot to 3-gallon pot, later you convert it to a 5-gallon pot. Do not take it in a large pot, because when the plant is bound slightly in the pot then it performs well.

Temperature

Take care of the temperature, because banana plants prefer warm temperatures. If the temperature is less than 50 degrees, then immediately put the plant in. Many varieties of banana can not tolerate cold or low temperature. You put the room next to the sun light window.

Banana trees placed inside the house are usually seen as a leaf houseplant because these plants can not produce fruit without any supplemental light during the entire year.

Planted From seed:

  • You can also be planted by sprouting. Soak it in hot water for 24-48 hours before planting. Due to warm water, the seeds become soft and germination happens quickly.
  • Use a tray or germination to plant seeds. Use sand and pertile with potting soils to fill in the container.
  • After filling this mixture in a pot, crush it 1/4 inch deep and cover its seeds and cover them with the surrounding soil.
  • Pour the water until the container soil becomes wet. Keep the position of moisture continuously.
  • Place in a place where the temperature is 50 degrees F. Use heat propagator if the temperature is low. This seed takes two to three weeks after germination. Some seeds take longer to germinate.

Propagation:

Banana plants grow very easily, so it is easy to propagate. The plantation of the banana plant is fruitful and eventually dies, but its underground rhizome is constantly alive and encourages new growth. Underground rhizome is dug and divided into a small part of the plant and roots.

Pests and diseases:

Banana plants are generally disease-resistant. Yes, sometimes the leaves of banana become brown on the side, due to the over watering. If the banana leaves appear yellow you mean that the plant lacks nutrients. Some insects attack on banana plants, these are banana aphids, banana weevil, and coconut scale. You can easily control these insects with organic pesticides.
