How to get Rid of the Dark Circles under the Eyes?

Dark circles under the eye make a beautiful face look unattractive. They make your face look dull and also indicate tiredness and poor health. Women face more of this problem than men.

Why do they appear? The skin around the eyes, also known as periorbital area, is thin and is webbed with very tiny blood vessels or capillaries. When red blood cells pass through these capillaries, sometimes leakage of blood occurs. The transparency of the periorbital area makes the loose blood visible in the form of dark circular patches around the eyes, known as dark circles.

There are many factors that contribute to the formation of dark circles. Sometimes they are hereditary; people having bony structure may also face this problem. Diseases like eczema, hay fever, asthma and anemia may also play a part in their formation, use of certain type of medicines can also cause dark circles to appear. Other factors are lack of sleep, lack of essential nutrients like vitamin K, malfunctioning of the liver, direct exposure to the sunlight and loss of collagen.

Usually women hide their dark circles by applying a layer of concealer. But now you can throw that away because you won’t need it again. After using these simple and effective home remedies for treating dark circles, you will get rid of them once and for all.
