  1. Muscle aches and pains – Adding 2 cups of epsom salt to the water in a standard sized bath tub can relieve you of your muscle aches. Just soak in the water for at least 12 minutes.   2. Splinter Removal – You can use epsom salt to remove a splinter! Soak a cotton washcloth in cold water that has been mixed with 2 tablespoons of epsom salt per cup of water.
