With this you maintain the growth of the plant, it is also necessary to keep the plant in its proper shape.

Main reasons for pruning plants

  • For the development of the plant in the right direction and new growth.
  • To give plants the right size and design.

Use quality pruning tools

  • Always use high-quality pruning tools in your garden. When cutting with dull pruners and scissors, the stem is dabbed or crushed. Because of which it is open, it gives birth to other diseases.
  • Use sharp and clean tools for sorting. Dirty and jumbled up tools harm your plant.
  • Before using the tools, make sure the equipment is clean and sharp. Because this cannot cut the healthy plant after the cut of diseased plants otherwise your healthy plant will get sick. Before using the tools, it should be cleaned well with bleach or alcohol.
  • Use different tools for thick and thin branches.

Pruning techniques

You can use the following 4 techniques for pruning the plants.

1. Thinning cuts

When you are trimming a mature tree or a small tomato plant. Then, through thinning cuts, you remove the entire branch or any part of the plant from the original source of the plant, which increases air operations and reduces unnecessary crowds. Always keep in mind while cutting, cut off the upper part of the dormant bud. Always cut the stem from an angle and leave the 1/4 inch shoot above the bud, do not leave too long.

2. Heading cuts

This type of pruning reduces the stem to one branch. But do not cut completely.

3. Plant pinching

This action is done in some small or thin plants. In this process, the growth of the plant is usually done by the thumb and forefinger. A pinch can be easily done with soft annuals and perennials. You can pinch big plants too, but when its stem is soft and new growth. In the initial stage of the plant, any type of sorting is ideal, by this time the plant is less damaged and the plant collects quick recovery.

4. Shearing

To keep the hedge plant in a straight line and make the line and give different shapes, it is commonly used for sorting scissors. Plants such as Boxwood, Privet Hedges, Euonymus, and yews are usually shared.

* Cut dead heads or yellow leaves of any plant in the 45 degrees of the main stem, they look brown in color. Use shears to cut at 45 degrees and cut off the dead or brown area of the stem and cut it apart. Now your plants remain healthy foliage groups.

*You can cut off except for green and healthy foliage groups. If a large group of leafy leaf dies on a tree, then you cut the entire branch.

Pruning for plant health

  1. It is advisable to promote pruning for healthy and balanced development of the plant. But before doing so, you should consider detailed about the size and development of the plant. If you want proper growth and shape of the plant, promote prudent reduction. At one time only 25% of the plant leaves cannot be considered good.
  2. The corrected pruning is important in the development of the plant. Plants growth always increases with the tip, which means new development emerges from the main branch as a branch or leaf. However, potentially developing cells are available in the plant. Still, development always emerges from the last black.
  3. New growth in the plant is always known as latent buds. These are usually places where the leaves meet the stem of the plant. The right way to prune the plant is to remove some of the new growth from which the plant can get a possible development. Some branches can be trimmed 1/4 of its length, the other is about half, and the other can be cut from their base. This way the new growth of the plant will always be encouraged by the outer stem.
  4. Indoor plants are not worried about much pruning as much as in an outdoor tree. Indoor plants require little sorting by shear or scissors.
  5. There are many reasons for pruning houseplants. To maintain the plant, dead leaves or branches are sorted. Many times you sort out to encourage the balanced growth of the plant, due to which you control the runaway branches.

Pruning vines

The sorting of vines is usually the same as other plants, but there may be more work in it. So when you plant indoor vines, then try to develop that direction towards its support. Out of this, those branches and leaves that are wandering around should be sorted. You need hard sorting in the spring and summer season so that the vines can grow manageable. Some vines are also such that when their growing time, they become infamous.
