Ginger

Ginger is one of the most powerful protectors of the organism. It is rich in vitamins and minerals such as: vitamin C, selenium, manganese, beta carotene, potassium. This amazing spice will activate your organism, soothe your stomach, stimulate the process of digestion and has antiseptic properties. Ginger root is available throughout the year and this is why you can use it on a daily basis as an addition to sauces, salads, soups, beverages, tea etc.

Advice: If you cannot stand ginger’s strong smell and taste, add beetroot or carrot.

Garlic

Garlic has antibacterial, antifungal and anticancer properties. It reduces cholesterol levels, strengthens the immune system, it is rich in minerals, vitamins and it is considered to be the universal protector of our health. Alicin is garlic’s main ingredients. This compound, has an unpleasant smell and is the main reason why garlic has its antibiotic properties. You can use this vegetable as an addition to salads, stews, in combination with meat and vegetables. However, it is best when used raw. In order to mild its taste and smell, pour some olive oil over it.

Advice: You should clean the garlic before you use it because if peeled, it will lose its properties due to oxidation. In order to get rid of the unpleasant smell after you have consumed it, chew on some fresh parsley leaves or piece of apple.
