As we all know, aspirin (aka acetylsalicylic acid) has been soothing aches and pains and reducing fevers since it was invented in 1853. Since it’s also an effective (and relatively safe) blood thinner, it’s also recommended that people who have had a heart attack or stroke take one low-dose aspirin tablet every day. It may also decrease the chances of developing certain cancers, especially colorectal cancer.
What you might not know is aspirin also makes a great facial mask! The mask is simple and easy to make right in your home using products you probably already have. The mask reduces the appearance of scars and wrinkles and helps clear up acne. It’s so effective, you see results after just one use!
What you need:
5 crushed aspirin tablets
1 tablespoon of plain yogurt
2 teaspoons of honey
Preparation:
Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat dry. Dampen a clean washcloth with water and place in the microwave for 15 to 30 seconds (be careful not to get it too hot!). Place the warmed washcloth over your face for 10 minutes, then pat dry. Doing this will open up your pores and get your skin ready to soak in the goodness of the mask.
Apply the mask to your face and leave it on for 30 minutes. Rinse with cool water, pat dry and apply your favorite moisturizer as usual.
