The Tea That Heals Fibromyalgia, Hashimoto’s, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, and Multiple Sclerosis

Thyme is widely celebrated for its countless benefits for many conditions from influenza to epileptic seizures. In the Middle Ages, it was mixed with lavender and sprinkled on the floor of churches in order to eliminate the nasty odors. Centuries ago, thyme was applied on bandages in order to heal and ward off infection.

Thyme provides many benefits thanks to the anti-septic, anti-parasitic, anti-viral, anti-rheumatic and anti-fungal qualities.

Thyme abounds in various vitamins and minerals. It is high in iron, potassium and calcium, important minerals that promote regulation of the blood pressure, proper formation of blood cells and proper distribution of antioxidants.

It is loaded with vitamin C, A, B-complex vitamins and folic acid. It abounds in powerful volatile and bioflavonoids oils, including  thymol. This is an important essential oil which contains potent antioxidant properties.

Also, thyme is rich in cancer preventive qualities, such as terpenoids like ursolic acids and rosmarinic. A regular consumption od thyme increases the amount of DNA (omega-3 fatty acid and docosahexaenoic acid) in heart, brain and kidney membranes.

Thyme’s essential oils have powerful bronchial and expectorant antispasmodic qualities which treat:

  • Acute and chronic bronchitis

How to Prepare Thyme Tea

What to use:

  • A handful of dried or fresh thyme
  • A covered container for brewing and straining
  • Mug

Method of preparation:

1. Use 1 tablespoon of dried thyme for a cup of water, but if you use fresh thyme use more. Put the thyme in the brewing container.

2. Pour the thyme with water and place it on heat to boil.

3. Cover the container and infuse for 5 minutes.

4. Strain the mixture and serve.
