In the folk medicine, the freshly squeezed juice is used to treat neuralgia and ischialgia by rubbing it in the skin along the length of the nerves. The healing effect comes quite fast. It is easier to take the radish if you add a little warm milk.
In order to make syrup, you should chop or grate the radish, put sugar or honey on it and keep it like that for at least four hours, and then strain it. The adults should take 2-3 tablespoons of it and children 1 tablespoon on every hour.
You can also cook the radish, add half the quantity of honey in it and cook everything again. You should take one tablespoon of it on every hour against asthma and in order to remove the mucus from the throat, the trachea and the chest.
You should use only freshly grated radish because it loses its healing properties when it is left like that. The more pungent radish is always better.
It is useful in pulmonary diseases and cough. Cut slices of the root of black radishes with its peel and arrange them in a bowl for salad. Add sugar on every layer, it is recommended to use brown sugar powder. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and keep it like that for 24 hours. Arthritis, arthrosis, rheumatism and gout
Grate the healthy black radish root together with its peel. Pour high quality white wine over it and keep it like that for 14 days. You should shake the bowl every day. Strain the mixture through a paper filter and keep it in a well sealed bottle. Drink 1 dl of this mixture every morning on an empty stomach. The cure lasts for 20 days. You should repeat this after three months.
To remove gallstones
You should not eat radishes too often, but it is good to eat them as soon as some infections occur. Today, the radish is usually used when there are disorders to the work of the liver and the gallbladder because it is proved that the therapy with black radish juice accelerates the production of the bile, increases its flow, it breaks the stones and balances the work of the gallbladder, which when it contracts it pushes the stones mixed with bile fluid to the intestines, which helps to stop the constipation. The black radish juice washes the gallbladder, but before taking the remedy you should certainly consult your doctor.
You should drink black radish juice every morning on an empty stomach for two months. The first day you should drink one glass, the second day two glasses, the third day three glasses, the fourth day four glasses, and then go back until you get to one glass. The amount of the glass should be about 30 ml. If you need to repeat this, you should do it after two weeks. It is also helpful to eat to peeled and sliced radishes on an empty stomach every morning.
