Creamy, delicious, tasty…. I swear you`ll start to melt inside with every single taste of this delicious spoonful of heaven. Without further ado we present you its majesty – The Vegan Nutella!
- 300 g (around 2 cups) of raw hazelnuts
- 100 g (2/3 cup) dark chocolate (dairy free)
- 2 pkgs vanilla
- Pinch of salt and
- ½ cup water (don`t use all of the water unless the texture requires it).
First you`ll have to preheat the oven to 200 °C (390 °), line a baking tray and spread the hazelnuts in a single layer on a parchment paper. When the oven is ready baked them for around 10-15 minutes but be careful not to overburn them. After they cool off a bit, place them onto a damp kitchen towel, cover them over and roll them back and forward to remove the skin. Repeat this a few times until you remove most of the skin but don`t worry if you can`t get all of it off, it`s that big of a deal.
Next, melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler and add the nuts together with the 2 pkgs of vanilla and the salt. Blend everything nicely and slowly by adding some water until you achieve the desired consistency. And voila… you have a delicious homemade nutella. Extra tip: If you are a coffee worshiper fell free to add some nutella in your espresso…. I know you`ll like it!
