Breathing issues, shortness of breath – symptoms and causes

Breathing issues are problems which are appearing when your lungs and respiratory system are having short – term infections or long – term conditions such as COPD, allergies and asthma. When you have breathing problems, then you have problems and you cannot have a complete breath. You should visit your doctor when you have started feeling the symptoms of these issues. When these issues are diagnosed, then your doctor will give you the right treatment for you. Also you should change some lifestyle activities that can be a reason for worsening of these issues. There are many scientists who have said that when people are having problems with their breathing, then they are feeling like they have just a half life. It is very important to have constant control over your problems because this will make you feel better and also you can have normal life. People who are suffering from some of the previously mentioned disease know how difficult is to live with those kinds of diseases. When people are having problems with their breathing, then their symptoms can vary from person to person. Not every individual has the same symptom compared with another individual. In some cases people are feeling their symptoms when they have started having this disease and in other cases they are feeling their symptoms when this disease is in the later stadium. You should avoid people who are having problems with flu or cold, because in some cases you can get the same disease that can develop in breathing issues. You must frequently visit your doctor because you should be sure if you have some problem with your health. If you have some breathing problems, then your doctor will give you some medications or home remedies and natural cures which will help you to improve the condition. Do not take medications and home remedies on your own because you do not know if you can make some side effect to your body.

Symptoms of breathing issues

Here are symptoms which are considered symptoms for the breathing issues:

  • Difficulty lying flat
  • Air hunger (labored breathing, gasping) without and with activity
  • Awakening frequently during the night (insomnia)
  • Fatigue
  • Waking up in the morning with a headache or fuzzy headed feeling (morning confusion)
  • Frequent yawning or sighing during the night

 

Causes of breathing issues

Breathing issues can be caused by many causes. In some cases when people are having a cold, then they are having problems with their breathing. In other cases when people are having bouts of acute sinusitis, then they have problems with their breathing. When people are suffering from sinusitis, then they can have problems with their breathing for one or two weeks until this condition is subsiding the inflammation and it is starting to drain. In many cases the breathing problems are chronic breathing problems or also known as long – term problems. In this group of breathing issues we can include asthma, COPD, allergies and chronic sinusitis. When people are suffering from these issues, then they can feel many symptoms such as shallow breathing, labored breathing, nasal congestion, watery or itchy eyes, runny nose, wheezing, chest congestion and coughing. Allergies and viruses are entering in your lungs through the nasal passage. Your nose and your sinuses are the parts of your body which are having lung problems.

Also the previous mentioned triggers can trigger your condition which can cause you allergies and asthma symptoms. There are studies in UK in which is shown that British people are suffering from hayfever. In those studies is shown that 1 in 5 people have felt this disease. Also there are studies for adults and children who are suffering from asthma. In this study is shown that 1 in 11 children and 1 in 12 adults are suffering from asthma. There are many cases around the world in which is shown that many people are suffering from COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) which is including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Breathing issues also can be a reason for other serious diseases such as lung disease related to HIV/AIDS, lung cancer, pneumonia and tuberculosis.

Also there are some cases when breathing issues are caused by side effects of medications. When people are having a heart failure, then they can also have some breathing issues / problem.
