Plantar Fasciitis or Jogger’s Heel. How to Get Rid of The Pain in The Heel

Not long ago, my mother in law was faced with a rather widespread problem – intolerable pain in the heel or popularly said she had a “plantar fasciitis” or “jogger’s heel “. What is plantar fasciitis?

Plantar fasciitis (jogger’s heel) – Calcar calcaneal – is a structural break down of the heel bone usually facing downwards, it is considered that this reactive formation of the bone appears due to chronic mechanical overload, and due to a irritation that happened while walking which caused pain.

It is common in older people and people who stand a lot in their profession. It is characterized by the severe pain in the middle of the heel, which does not allow you to move your heel a lot.

Painful symptoms occur in the first steps after sleeping or sitting too long, and they appear in the heel or on its inner surface.

The heel pain can be so unbearable that people say that it is like hammering nails right on the heel, which was the case with my mother in law.

The traditional methods of treatment are considered as more effective than any cream purchased at the pharmacy.

We tried several methods, which proved their effectiveness in their own way. I recommend these recipes, in case someone needs it.

1. The simplest treatment for the pain in the heel – hit the heel on the floor slowly and several times a day, this increases circulation and metabolism of calcium and prevents the deposition of salt.

2. Coatings of potatoes can help with the strong pain. You must wash the potatoes and grate it together with the peel.

Put the mixture on gauze and then fasten it on the painful area. Wrap it with a nylon bag and then put socks on your feet.  The coverings have to be changed daily. The duration of the treatment is from 7 to 8 days.

3. Coatings with honey and salt. Mix the honey and salt in the same proportion (1: 1) and put it on the painful spots. Put a piece of gauze above, stick a plaster and wrap it with a nylon bag.  Put socks on and sleep in them.

I put these kinds of coatings on my mother in law every night. After the third treatment the pain decreased, and after the fifth I saw the smile on mother in law’s face again.

The treatment was repeated 10 days. After which the pain completely disappeared.

I will recommend you another recipe for the heel pain, which was used by my neighbor and she says that it is extremely effective.

4. A medicinal tincture with aspirin

10 tablets of aspirin (200 mg), chopped up in powder, are poured with 250 ml alcohol (or 70% medical alcohol). Let it stay like that for 1-2 days.

Shake the tincture and dip a piece of folded gauze every night.

Put the coating on your heel, wrap a nylon bag and put on socks. Leave it like that overnight.

In the morning, wash with water, wipe and apply a greasy cream for feet.

After 10 treatments the feet and heels will be cleaned from the rough skin and the deposits.

By the way, you can clean or brush your feet with pumice stone, and then apply cream.

If there are cracks, blisters or bunions and hard deposits on the feet, this procedure will be also effective. My neighbor has 57 years and her feet are like a twenty year old girl.

It is said that with this tincture the painful spots with varicose veins can be treated (varicosities). After you massage them, the pain will disappears immediately.

It can be massaged on painful areas with osteochondrosis, where depositions of salt occur.
