Allergic rhinitis causes similar to cold such as runny nose, coughing, watery and itchy eyes, fatigue, sneezing and headaches. It is an inflammation of the inside part of the nose caused by some allergens such as dust mites, pollen, mold spores and animal dander.

Flush the Nasal Cavity

This is one of the most effective natural method for allergic rhinitis where you can flush the excess mucus from the nasal cavity with saline solution. You can buy saline solution at the pharmacy stores or you can make it at home. Dissolve a teaspoon of salt in a glass full with lukewarm distilled water and fill a nasal bulb with it. If you do not want to use a nasal bulb you can place your hands on the neti-pot. Tilt the head on one side and with the tool you prefer, put some saline solution into one nostril and let it flow from the other. Practice this treatment several times a day.

Inhale Some Steam

The steam will help you break down mucus and you will breathe more comfortably. So, take some large basin and pour some hot water in it. Incline your face above the basin and place a towel over your head. Inhale as much steam as you can. You can do this in the shower, turn on the hot water and inhale the steam.

Drink some Ginger Tea

Ginger is a potent herb that can cure and relieve many health issues. A ginger tea is a natural antihistamine that can prevent the allergic reaction in your body. It will relieve the symptoms such as cough, runny nose or headache. You just have to grate some ginger and put it in a hot water. If you like, you can add some honey.

Chew Raw Garlic Cloves

Garlic is a powerful source of antihistaminic properties. Chew 2 to 3 cloves of garlic every day and you will soothe the symptoms of allergy. You can also place some grated garlic in a cup with warm water. You can improve the taste with a teaspoon of honey.

Guzzle Down Apple Cider Vinegar

A glass of warm water and some tablespoons of apple cider vinegar can be an effective remedy for many diseases. Drink it three times a day until you notice the needed results. Make sure you use a straw in order to keep your teeth from erosion.

Drink Milk with Turmeric

The amazing antiviral, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities of turmeric make this spice a potent remedy for allergic rhinitis. Dissolve a teaspoon of turmeric in a glass of warm milk and enjoy the delicious taste. If you are not a fan of milk you can combine a turmeric with a teaspoon of honey. This traditional remedy for allergic rhinitis can be used several times a day.
