Acne
Acne is an inflammatory skin disease caused by obstruction and inflammation of the pilosebaceous complex (hair follicles and adjacent sebaceous glands) and, as a result, is characterized by the appearance of comedones, papules, pustules, nodules and/or cysts.
These inflammatory rashes on the skin are due to genetic hyperandrogenism and a deterministic form of secretion in the sebaceous gland. Acne is considered the most common type of dermatosis.
During puberty, that is, in adolescence and young age, both sexes get sick almost equally, and at an older age, acne occurs mainly in women.
